Your church hub
One public page for your church, with your latest sermon notes, your prayer wall, your open sign-ups and a Give button.
Switch it on
A hub stays off until you switch it on. Only owners and admins can do this, on the web, once your church has a web address (see Your hub’s link).
- Open Church settings › Church hub.
- Turn on The church hub is on.
- Tick what the hub shows. Anyone with the link can see what you tick.
- Choose Switch on.
Once it’s on, the page shows your hub’s link with Copy and Open, and a QR code you can save as a picture for slides or posters.
Anyone with the link can open the hub, without signing in. It’s hidden from search engines. If you switch it off, the link stops working straight away, and so does any QR code you’ve printed.
What the hub shows
You choose any of these three parts:
- Sermon notes: the newest fill-in notes page your church has published, and the three before it.
- Prayer wall and requests: the newest three requests on your public prayer wall, never with a name, and a way to send a prayer request.
- Sign-ups: up to six forms people can sign up for right now, newest first. See sharing a form.
Sermon notes and sign-ups are ticked to start with. Prayer isn’t. If nothing is published yet, the hub says so and asks people to check back soon.
Prayer requests
The prayer part only shows while your prayer wall is open and its public page is on. You set that in the prayer wall’s settings.
- Requests are sent without a name unless the person ticks Add my name.
- A leader reads every request before it shows.
- Owners and admins can moderate requests. To let someone else do it, give them Moderates the prayer wall in Staff & roles. Moderators see who sent each request, and can approve, reword or decline it.
The Give button
The hub shows a Give online button whenever your church profile has a Giving link (a web address starting with https). There’s nothing to tick.
Vessel doesn’t take or see any gift: the button only opens your own giving page.
Your hub’s link
Your hub lives at go.vesselworship.org/hub/ followed by your church’s web address, for example go.vesselworship.org/hub/grace-church.
To change the web address, open Church settings › Church profile › Web address and choose Change…. Old hub links keep working and take people to the new one.
